New larger paintings, all done during COVID. I think of them as stories from my neighborhood, looking out my studio window onto fields, forest ridge, sky and orchard. Each exists in its own house, as its own chapter with distinct investigations. The over-arching themes are: the divisions, squaring the format; the relationship of brushstrokes, free hand or mechanical and the color systems of organization; primaries, complements and dark/light.
